Devon Gardens Elementary School is in a quiet area of North Delta and has French Immersion from K-7 and an English program that operates in the primary years baed on Montessori principles. At Devon Gardens, the staff provide a positive environment where children can develop the self-esteem, attitude, skills and knowledge necessary to become life-long learners and responsible, contributing members of the community.
Annual school events and activities include the Terry Fox Run, volleyball and basketball teams for Grades 6 & 7 students, Hoop Shoot basketball challenge (Grades 5-7), Grade 6 & 7 band, Track & Field (Grades 4-7) and Sports Day. In addition, there are opportunities for intermediate students to develop responsibility by becoming involved in various school jobs such as crossing guard, lunchtime classroom monitor and office monitor.
