We believe our Film Academy Programs are testament to our goal of engaging learners through stimulating, relevant and inspiring educational experiences. Each of our unique academies creates an environment where our students feel great pride and, in turn, great success. Our passionate teachers and outstanding professionals work hard at building positive, trusting, and encouraging relationships with our learners.
The Film Academies are offered for 2 out of the 8 blocks a student takes during the school year. The programs are taught by specialist teachers and local professionals who are experts in their areas.
The Film Programs are all taught at Delta Manor Education Centre. Only for students attending South Delta High School if they wish to attend these programs.

Delta Film Acting Academy
Do you love movies? Television? Do you want to know how to act on-screen? Do you find yourself dreaming of a chance to see yourself up on the big screen? Then join the Delta Film Acting Academy as a high school student to learn all about what it takes to be a working actor in the film and television industry in the thriving Hollywood North, Vancouver, B.C. Canada. The course is open to students grade 8-12 and studies in collaboration with The Delta Film Production Academy and Delta Visual Effects Academy.

Delta Film Production Academy
#dowhatyoulove AT SCHOOL! Do you love movies? Do you want to know how to make the movie magic happen? Then join the Delta Film Production Academy as a high school student to learn how to take a film idea from pitch to premiere in the thriving Hollywood North, Vancouver, B.C. Canada. You will learn all about how to use the camera, light your set, record sound, build stories and edit it all together plus so much more! The course counts for two classes in an 8-block schedule, is open to students grade 8-12 and studies in collaboration with The Delta Film Acting Academy and Delta Visual Effects Academy.

Delta Visual Effects Academy
#dowhatyoulove AT SCHOOL! Do you love movies? Video games? Animation? Computers? Do you ever wonder how the amazing worlds you see onscreen are created? Then join the Delta Visual Effects Academy as a high school student to learn all about how to build 3D models and worlds in the thriving Hollywood North, Vancouver, B.C. Canada. The course counts for two classes in an 8-block schedule, is open to students grade 8-12 and studies in collaboration with The Delta Film Production Academy and Delta Film Acting Academy.
