New High School Students: Sightseeing and Welcome Celebration

September 1st Student Sightseeing Trip Information

The purpose of this day is for new International Students to meet each other, start making some friends, see some of beautiful Vancouver, meet our staff, relax and have some fun.

What you need to know:

South End – School Board Office (Delta Secondary and South Delta Secondary Students)
8:50AM – Depart and go to Science World. Students will walk False Creek to
Granville Island. Students will have time to relax and explore Granville Island.

12:45PM – Pick up at Granville Island (Bus Staging Lot on Cartwright St). Go to the Totems at
Stanley Park. Students will have 45 minutes to 1 hour to explore the area surrounding the
Totems. Back on the buses at 2PM

2:00PM – Pick up at the Totems at Stanley Park, Return to School Board Office.

North End 1 – Burnsview Secondary School (Burnsview Secondary and Seaquam Secondary Students) 
8:50AM – Depart and go to Granville Island. Students will have time to relax and explore
Granville Island.

11:30AM – Pick up at Granville Island (Bus Staging Lot on Cartwright St). Go to the Totems at
Stanley Park. Students will have time to walk along the Sea Wall and across to the Miniature
Train Area.

2:00PM – Pick up at Miniature Train Parking Area, Return to Burnsview Secondary School.

North End 2 – North Delta Secondary School (DL, ND, and SA Students)
8:50AM – Depart and go to the Totems at Stanley Park.

11:00AM – Pick up at Totems at Stanley Park. Go to Science World. Drop off at Science World
around 11:30AM. Students will walk False Creek to Granville Island. Students will have time to
relax and explore Granville Island.

2:00PM – Pick up at Granville Island (Bus Staging Lot on Cartwright St). Return to North Delta
Secondary School.

Students need to Bring:

· Comfortable walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing / sunscreen / umbrellas

· A bit of spending money for Granville Island

· Lunch and / or snacks

· Water
