Neilson Grove Elementary School, Delta’s newest elementary school. Previously farmland, the school is now located in a thriving residential area with a golf course and recreational boating marina. The caring school community is made up of members learning to work together to enhance the quality of school life and develop into responsible citizens for the future. Students learn to take care of themselves, others, and their school.
Annual school events and activities include the Terry Fox Run, Volleyball and Basketball teams for Grades 6 & 7 students, Hoop Shoot Basketball Challenge (Grades 5-7), Grade 6 & 7 Band, Track & Field (Grades 4-7) and Sports Day. In addition, there are opportunities for intermediate students to develop responsibility by becoming involved in various school jobs such as crossing guard, lunchtime classroom monitor and office monitor.
